Grant & Donor Relations Manager (Parsippany, NJ)

Position Title:  Grant/Donor Relations Manager (Part-Time/ 8-10 hours per week)

Responsible To: Director of Development

Summary: Responsible for developing and implementing engagement, grant submissions, and other fundraising strategies to enhance and grow revenue with current and prospective donors.

Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising with specific experience in grant writing. Non-profit experience a plus. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as DonorPerfect or similar donor database.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with Director of Development to conduct prospect research to create and steward opportunities with new grants, foundations and donors to raise more revenue and increase overall engagement with NewBridge Services.
  2. Develop and maintain a proposal calendar and work with Director to manage a year-round strategy.
  3. Work with the Director to manage proposal submission process:
    1. Create and author engaging proposal narratives, and execute the application process to solicit gifts.
    2. Prepare proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals
    3. Identify all requirements of grant to ensure all necessary attachments are collected and all program information, including budget-related material, is coordinated with program leadership.
  1. Communicate with foundations, as needed, to confirm NewBridge Services’ eligibility, deliver effective grant management, and follow up.
  2. Coordinate follow-ups on the progress of submitted proposals with the Director.
  3. Meet with key staff, community “friends” of NewBridge and current grant and foundation donors.
  4. Assist in managing the DonorPerfect database including data entry and running reports.
  5. Attend development committee meetings and other NewBridge meetings as needed.
  6. Attend NewBridge fundraising events (Annual Gala & Golf Outing and any other events as appropriate).
  7. Attend networking events as well as various business and social events to understand the landscape of NewBridge for future grant/donor relations as appropriate.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
