Pompton Plains, N.J., January 5, 2011 – NewBridge Services Inc., a nonprofit community provider of behavioral health and education programs and services, announces its board of trustees for 2011.
Bonnie Holmes of Pompton Plains has taken the reins as board president. The other officers are: Vice President Mary Ameen of Wanaque, Treasurer William Eckert of Pompton Plains, Recording Secretary Nancy Grimbilas of Pompton Plains and Corresponding Secretary Doren Greene of Mountain Lakes. The other members are: Jeffrey Gillman of Pompton Plains, Sharon Hollick of Pompton Plains, Allen Levy of Towaco, Francis McEnerney of Chester, George Sous of Pequannock, and Charles Stewart of Pompton Plains.
The 11-member board oversees the agency’s activities, expenditures and growth, and participates in short- and long-term strategic planning. This year it will focus on ensuring that essential programs for seniors and youth remain strong. NewBridge’s programs for seniors improve their daily lives by providing the resources and services that allow them to remain in their homes. Youth services include a variety of life-enriching educational and counseling programs in areas such as conflict resolution and life skills. NewBridge helps youth obtain high school diplomas and get jobs, and provides comfort to students when tragedy strikes a community.
“With the reality of reduced or no state funding for such vital programs, the NewBridge trustees are dedicated to our Are You One? campaign, with a goal to increase community awareness of NewBridge’s mission and services and attract financial support from our friends and neighbors,” Holmes said. “You can look forward to hearing more about us as the year unfolds.”
